I almost managed to quit! But then my boss almost doubled my wages. Not really something any sane person should refuse in these times. Currently the work has slowed to a crawl and we have 4 day workweeks. Not so bad, except I still have not gotten right down to getting some artwork done. Still working on it....

I realised the other night that I've hardly had any time to even -consider- working on art since I got this job. This happened to me before, when I was at a similarly unkind workplace. I ended up leaving on the half-excuse that I needed time to work on my portfolio and personal art. The part time job I had after that was perfect, even if it was only netting me just enough to scrape by on. I feel like I could do much more right now if I had a part-time job instead... go back to figure drawing classes, for example, because my skills are really starting to show their disuse. I should be able to make enough with 5 years of experience in my field
